There’s something for everyone this weekend in the Austin area, including a Greek festival, live music, antique sale and race. Here are seven events for locals from May 22-25. This list is not comprehensive. All events are subject to change. 7th Annual Austin Greek Festival Hosted by Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, the event will celebrate Greek culture with live music, cuisine, family-friendly activities, a marketplace, entertainment and more. Dining options will include lamb, gyros, souvlaki, baklava, Greek doughnuts and coffee. Summer Classic Film Series opening weekend Paramount Theatre will host an opening weekend for its 52nd annual summer film series. Featured films include “Casablanca” and “The Maltese Falcon,” as well as a 25th anniversary celebration for “Spy Kids” with a screening and live concert featuring director Robert Rodriguez’s Family Spy Band. Dripping Springs Fair and Rodeo 2026 Dripping Springs residents can gather for a weekend of bull riding, bronc riding, tie down and breakaway roping, steer wrestling and mutton busting. Splash Saturday DogJoy hosts weekly pool parties for dogs on Saturdays. The pool is designed with dogs in mind, featuring a beach entry, splash pad, island and gradual change in depth for dogs of all sizes. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, and owners are welcome to bring toys and treats. Children, food and glass containers are not allowed in the splash park. Every Body Jams Grand Opening Party A new East Austin music school, Every Body Jams, is hosting a grand opening event with a lineup of performances. Attendees of all ages can expect to hear music from local bands like The JAMBS, Broken Gold and Idelwild. Memorial Day Freedom Run In honor of the special day, families are invited to stay active in the event’s 1-mile fun run, 5K, 10K or half-marathon. All paces and ages are welcome; those under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. 7th Annual Antique Barn Sale & Artisan Show Hosted by the New Braunfels Conservation Society, the event will showcase local vendors and artists. There will also be museum tours and live music. |
